【2023】Applications for the NTHU- National Health Research Institutes Joint Research Grant. Being accepted to August 31, 2022.

2023 National Tsing Hua University- National Health Research Institutes  Joint Research Grant

  1. Project Period: A maximum of 2 years, starting date: 2023/1/1
  2. Project Type: Individual research program, shall be co-hosted by a staff above the level of assistant professor from National Tsing Hua University with a staff above the level of assistant investigator from National Health Research Institutes. The project gives priority to assistant/associate professor, and assistant/associate investigator.
  3. Research Topic: The research grant is for the early interdisciplinary cooperation, and the creativity is most valued.
  4. Qualifications for Principal Investigator:
    1. National Tsing Hua University
      1. A staff above the level of assistant professor or assistant investigator.
      2. Each principle investigator can only apply for one existing cooperation plan and one new cooperation plan this year.  Please refer to 2023 NTHU Hospital Joint Research Grant
    2. National Health Research Institutes
      1. Full-time staff above the level of assistant investigator.
      2. Each principle investigator shall host only one project at a time.
      3. No application submission is allowed during existing project period. No duplicate application for the same research topic.
  5. Budgeting:
    1. Budget cannot be granted for fixed equipment. The principle of budgeting shall comply with the rules of these two institutions.
    2. The total two-year research grant is NT 20,000,000. Both institutions contribute 50% of it. This grant is allocated to subsidize 8 to 12 projects
  6. Deadline: August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022. Late applications overdue will not be accepted.

  8. Notice:
    1. The principle investigator of two-year project is required to provide a report at the end of the first year. The continual of the grant to the 2nd year is in contingent upon the reported results of the 1st year.
    2. If the project involves with human subject research, IRB review shall be submitted after receiving the grant. The same requirement also applies to those projects which involve with animal experiment, genetic recombination experiment, and infectious biological materials.
    3. Attention to the qualifications of the participants of National Health Research Institutes, the compliance of the application format and the required application procedure. Application will be processed according to the regulations.
